Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the careful insertion of very fine, sterile, single use needles into the skin to points of the body selected according to your symptoms and diagnosis. Other techniques may also be used such as massage, cupping or moxabustion (moxa). To help form the diagnosis and your personal treatment plan, your therapist may: ask a range of questions; feel your pulse; look at your tongue.
Traditional Acupuncture can be effective in the treatment of many  conditions:
Pain management – most types of pain conditions, from chronic pain and neuropathic pain conditions, to acute pain such as sports injury.
Internal ailments – such as Headaches and Migraine, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, High Blood Pressure, Asthma, Hay fever, Stress/Anxiety/Depression, Insomnia, Women’s Health (PMS/Period problems), weakened Immune System, Thyroid disorders, Circulatory problems, Pregnancy/Labour induction, Fertility and IVF.
The British Acupuncture Council have prepared a range of fact sheets summarising recent research, available here.  Because it is tailored to the needs of the individual patient, Acupuncture is suitable for all ages. Acupuncture is safe for use in pregnancy.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture) works by stimulating the body’s own natural healing systems. Treatment incorporates facial points, distal points (points on areas such as the arms and legs) and other techniques such as gua sha (a chinese form of massage) and cupping. The treatments are designed to leave you both looking and feeling good with the added benefit of working on the body’s system as a whole, naturally. I am fully trained with FacialEnhance® UK.
